RALLIES Chili
Chapter
Spring Rally The Chili Chapter spring rally, our Border Bash, was held recently in El Paso, Texas. We stayed at Mission RV park on the east side of town. Twenty-three rigs showed up for the rally held March 30 - April 3, 2001.
The Armstrong's - our Wagonmasters A great time was had by all! Dave & Pat Armstrong along with Jim and Gloria Bryant, the Wagonmasters and Co- Wagonmasters, arranged a great rally. We had a shopping trip to Juarez, Mexico, a tour of Old Mesilla, New Mexico, and a re-enactment at Concordia Cemetery. Of course, in fine Escapees tradition, we ate well. El Paso boasts a wide array of fine restaurants so there were a few meals out along with a throw-on BBQ, a potluck, and pizza with karaoke. After a peanut fight at Logan's Roadhouse, the Chili Chapter may not be welcome back in El Paso!
Peanut fight at Logan's Roadhouse Thanks to generous donations, everyone got a Chili cap and a door prize. Swimming and lounging in the hot tub were also popular activities during the rally.
